Cutting Station

Cutting Station

Cut Stations are designed to hold the Pharmsouth skeining frames of all sizes to produce sutures of a required length.

This machine achieves 80 to 200 sutures per frame.

  • The station achieves very accurate results:
  • The frames are perfectly aligned and clamped into position. The sutures are secured in position across the channel – which minimises movement (and any sticking together) during tipping and cutting.
  • Cyanoacrylate adhesive is applied by hand to the width required.
  • The suture is cut by hand or electric rotary blade via an accurately guided razor blade.

Machine variations include:

  • The standard Static Tip and Cut Station for flat frames.
  • The Adjustable Tip and Cut Station for flat and square frames.
  • A choice of static or electric rotary blade for cutting.
  • Optional table, either static or adjustable height for use with either type of cut station.
